Strange but it works. I eat five to six meals a day to keep my metabolism up. Target eating a small balanced meal every four hours.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so don't skip it. You can substitute a meal with a meal-replacement product. I usually drink a serving of Sustagen Premium, a high-protein low-fat nutritional milk drink for adults. If you have moolah to burn and you do regular weight training, I suggest that you buy whey protein supplements. Whey supplements supply the body with many essential amino acids needed for good health and it is used by athletes to repair and build muscles after a tough workout.
By the way, I don't believe in the no-dinner-after-six diet. Think about it, 6pm to 6am is twelve hours, that's twelve hours of not eating anything to fuel your metabolism. Your body needs something to burn. A snack of a low fat sandwich or an apple after 8pm would be nice.
Your body will thank you for it.
